I really don’t like using Canva, but sometimes am forced to due to client’s choices.
When you create a bulleted list, you have the option to add space between ALL the lines, but wouldn’t it be NICE if you could add more space after the last line in a bullet and before the next bullet, that wasn’t the SAME amount of space between all the lines of text that happened to be bulleted?
If someone has a way (besides creating individual text blocks for each bullet, which I’m going to have to do, or more likely, just import the graphic into inDesign without the bulleted text and format it there) I’d love to know.
Til then, Canva remains the basest and most vile form of image creation… kind of like creating a website with Powerpoint (am I wrong?).
To add a different size space between bullet points, hit SHIFT+ENTER at the end of the first bullet point, and then ENTER again… to create a blank line. Your second bullet point should now essentially start on line “3”. Put your cursor on the blank line you created and then adjust line height OR you can adjust font size…. either/both will adjust only that blank you created…. I do it all the time. Now, what I can’t get it to do is actually do the same thing with a numbered list…. so they still look sucky.
Nice trick! Any idea how to adjust the spacing between the bulletpoint & the word?
I don’t suppose adding spaces before the words would help?
Christie – It’s almost unbelievable what a difference this makes. Thank you for sharing this tip!
Doesn’t work for numbered bullets. Any ideas?
