Avada and WP 4.9

I’m getting more annoyed with 4.9 on the one site I updated… it warns you about editing your child theme saying that you really shouldn’t edit the core file and should use a child theme. Yes, thank you very much for your profoundness, Automattic. Really helpful there… </end sarcasm >

The most disruptive thing is that if you are using a child theme, and you should, your page templates will disappear. Avada says this will be corrected in future versions of WordPress, as it’s a core issue. Meanwhile, you can download a plugin here that will fix things temporarily. I can attribute that it works.
